NOW HIRING: Finance Manager – Mozambique
About the Role
Our client seeks a strategic Finance Manager to oversee all financial operations for their Mozambique division. This role is critical in driving profitability, optimising cost efficiency, and ensuring robust financial controls to support the company’s growth and compliance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership: Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and budgets; lead month-end processes and regulatory reporting.
Performance Analysis: Analyse financial data (costs, pricing, ROI) and compare actual performance against business plans.
Risk & Compliance: Manage financial risks, ensure compliance with audit principles, and implement effective cash management practices.
Strategic Planning: Advise senior management on financial strategies, cost-reduction opportunities, and long-term objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with auditors, vendors, and internal teams (Sales, Operations, HR) to align financial goals.
Process Improvement: Develop and refine financial controls, operational procedures, and budget variance analysis frameworks.
Team Development: Mentor staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement through skills transfer.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Finance preferred).
Full ACCA/CIMA/CIS certification.
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, analysis, or accounting.
Proven track record in financial planning, compliance, and stakeholder management.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong business acumen, expert in budgeting, financial modelling, and cost analysis.
Leadership skills to drive cross-functional collaboration and decision-making.
High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
Excellent communication, presentation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Fluency in English (Portuguese a plus).
