JOB SUMMARY
The Beluluane Park Coordinator is responsible for the smooth operation and development of Beluluane Industrial Park in Matola, Maputo province. This includes overseeing day-to-day activities, managing the on-site team, ensuring all infrastructure and services are maintained, and acting as the main representative of MozParks for existing tenants and potential clients.
The Coordinator ensures the implementation of operational controls and administrative processes that support the strategic goals of the park.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational management
- Supervise and delegate responsibilities to all on-the-ground staff and service providers.
- Ensure daily park operations are running efficiently and in compliance with MozParks procedures and policies.
- Lead internal planning and oversee implementation of control and monitoring systems to improve performance and service delivery.
- Coordinate and monitor the general maintenance and upkeep of park infrastructure, including roads, utilities, signage, and common areas.
- Support the execution of infrastructure expansion and development projects at the park.
Park services & infrastructure oversight
- Coordinate the activities and schedules of on-site security personnel and contractors, ensuring proper coverage, reporting, and adherence to park rules.
- Monitor the condition and use of all infrastructure and land plots, identifying unauthorized use, encroachments, or safety issues.
- Supervise all maintenance activities within the park, including routine, preventive, and emergency repairs.
- Ensure that public spaces, access roads, lighting, signage, and utility networks are properly maintained.
- Liaise with contractors and internal teams to address infrastructure-related issues efficiently.
Administrative oversight
- Maintain accurate records of park operations, incidents, maintenance activities, and staff attendance.
- Prepare and submit operational and financial reports to management as required.
- Ensure proper communication with relevant departments (HR, Finance, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, etc.) and implement management directives.
- Monitor performance of the park team and coordinate routine meetings and updates.
Tenant & client engagement
- Serve as the on-the-ground contact point for all tenants at Beluluane Industrial Park, ensuring their operational needs and concerns are addressed.
- Represent the company professionally to all visitors, clients, government representatives, or potential investors.
- Follow up on tenant issues and coordinate with internal teams to provide solutions.
- Support the Sales team by providing operational context during site visits and client onboarding.
Compliance & monitoring
- Ensure all site activities comply with Mozambican regulations and internal safety, environmental, and legal standards.
- Implement and monitor systems to control contractor performance and third-party service delivery.
- Maintain visibility and accountability on issues related to billing, utility consumption, and tenant obligations.
Other responsibilities
- Establish and maintain appropriate feedback systems to monitor departmental performance.
- Carry out any other duties or responsibilities assigned by management in line with the position.
Required qualifications
- Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in a management or supervisory role, preferably in operations, facility management, or industrial environments.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
- Proven experience managing infrastructure and service delivery in a structured environment.
- Excellent command of Portuguese (mandatory) and good working knowledge of English.
- Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Panel.
- Experience engaging with local communities and authorities is an advantage.
