Our client in Maputo is looking for a Head of Procurement to join their team for a job vacancy within the Retail Sector.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s objectives and ensure cost-efficiency and quality.
Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team to enhance performance and support career development.
Oversee sourcing, vendor negotiations, contract management, and purchase order processing.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders to ensure reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Monitor market trends and pricing to identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
5+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or strategic sourcing role.
Proven experience in developing procurement strategies and managing large-scale vendor contracts.
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
In-depth knowledge of procurement software, ERP systems, and industry best practices.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
